Top 10 most recycled phones dominated by Nokia models, saving average of £71.00

Savvy Nokia owners are searching for the best deals on the web when recycling older phone models, as they pocket an average £71.00 more than other mobile phone users. The announcement follows’s monthly countdown of the mobile phone recycling industry, as Nokia models dominated the top 10 most popular phones to be recycled.

For the first time, the newly released iPhone4 8GB featured in the top 10 most popular phones; possibly pointing to the model’s signalling problems causing owners to sell on after just three months on shelves. However, of all Apple products, the iPhone4 (£423.10) held the highest value, as the model sold for almost £100 more than the iPad64GB (£340.00).

The Nokia Xpress Music was also knocked from the top spot after a five-month reign, as users pocketed an extra £50.00 with the new iPhone 3G 8GB stealing its place.

September’s countdown from has found that owners of the top 10 mobiles with the biggest recycling price difference could be losing out on a shocking £722.19 by not searching for the best deals. The Nokia N95 and HTC Touch Pro2 revealed the highest price discrepancies between websites, as sellers lost an average of £75.00 by not doing their homework.
