Physicians Interactive Holdings LLC (PIH), a leading provider of health care information and mobile clinical decision tools to medical professionals, announced today that its CEO and Vice Chairman, Donato J. Tramuto, will speak at this year’s Health 2.0 conference in San Francisco. The event is widely regarded as the leading gathering in the country on the topic of innovation in health care technology.

Tramuto will be one of the first speakers at the conference, which takes place October 7-8, 2010. Speaking to an audience of 1,000 representatives of the nation’s health care community, Tramuto will provide an overview of PIH and discuss the latest trends in technology solutions that can dramatically improve health care delivery while reducing costs and improving the efficiency of physicians and other medical professionals.

PIH is a global resource for physicians, nurses and other health professionals, giving them access to all of the medical research, pharmaceutical samples and information, and other clinical decision tools they need to do their jobs effectively and from virtually any location—all through their mobile phones.

Tramuto will introduce the keynote panel featuring Tim O'Reilly, the Founder of O’Reilly Media who has been dubbed “the Godfather of Web 2.0,” and Jeff Goldsmith, the President of Health Futures, Inc. and “America’s best known health care futurist.” The talk will begin at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.

In addition, Skyscape, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PIH, is one of several companies chosen by the Health 2.0 selection committee to demonstrate its mobile technology on Thursday afternoon's session entitled, "Health 2.0 Tools in the Doctor's Office.” Skyscape is the leading provider of medical resources and apps for mobile devices. Its technology gives medical practitioners around the globe access to the most up-to-date clinical information on their mobile devices, allowing them to spend more time treating patients and less time rummaging through volumes of medical research or tied to a computer. Skyscape is the first mobile clinical decision support provider to offer its application on all of the nation’s major mobile phone carriers and platforms.

“I am thrilled to be part of Health 2.0, which has become the proverbial watercooler around which the country’s leading health technology innovators are pondering what’s next for the industry. There really are no limits to where this field will go next,” Tramuto said. “I’m very much looking forward to sharing the Physicians Interactive experience, especially with mobile access to medical information, at this year’s event.”
