Beliefnet, the Web's leading multi-faith inspiration and spirituality site, announced the launch of a new group buying program, the BeliefnetDaily Deal ( What sets it apart from other group buying models is its 10% GiveBack formula. For every purchase made through a Beliefnet Daily Deal, 10% of the proceeds are given back to a nonprofit organization selected by the consumer/buyer. A wide range of products/services will be offered through the Beliefnet Daily Deal at a national level by national retailers and on a regional basis by local retailers.

Members of the Beliefnet community have another good reason to remain faithful to the Web's leading multi-faith inspiration and spirituality site. Beliefnet has just launched the Beliefnet Daily Deal (, a new group buying program giving them access to deeply discounted products and services - as high as 80% off the regular price. Additionally, they gain the opportunity, with every Beliefnet Daily Deal purchase, to prompt an automatic 10% GiveBack on the proceeds from their purchase to the church, ministry, charity or nonprofit of their choice.

In the Beliefnet Daily Deal model, a business offers a product or service at a deep discount as high as 80%. The business sets a predetermined minimum number of customers that must be reached for the deal to go forward in order to make a good profit. Subscribers receive an email announcing the deal. If that number is reached, then the customers who signed up for the deal receive the product/service at the discounted price and the business captures the sales. Customers' credit cards are charged via a secure, fully-encrypted transaction, and the nonprofit they have selected receives the contribution. If the number is not reached, no deal is made. There are no up-front costs to the business. Vouchers for Beliefnet Daily Deals can be transferred to friends or family and used for gifts by selecting the "Buy for a friend" option when purchasing a daily deal.

A wide range of products/services will be offered through the Beliefnet Daily Deal from restaurants, beauty products, health and fitness services, to children's products, family entertainment, home electronics and travel, religious and inspirational products and events. Beliefnet Daily Deals will be offered by national marketers as well as local retailers on a regional basis and all will be family and faith-friendly.

According to Stephen Halliday, CEO of BN Media, owner of Beliefnet, "Beliefnet has always been a site where people can come and learn about the world. Now, through the Beliefnet Daily Deal and its 10% GiveBack to nonprofits, individuals can also help the world and make a real difference."
