Sagitec is excited and proud to see our solution have such an impact at LAGERS.
Saint Paul, MN (PRWEB) October 07, 2010
The Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) launched a new Employer Web Portal using Sagitec Solution’s Neospin™ pension administration framework. This key phase of LAGERS’ initiative to replace their entire pension administration solution with Neospin™ was implemented ahead of schedule and is showing immediate and measurable benefits to LAGERS and employers alike.
The successful adoption of the portal by the employer pilot group allowed LAGERS to accelerate the implementation of remaining employers, who immediately benefit from faster and more accurate contribution payments, new member enrollments, and account adjustments. For LAGERS, the portal improves wage and service reporting by reducing errors and correction time frames. It enables them to accept electronic payment transactions initiated from employers, which was not possible with the legacy system.
In short, the employer web portal greatly enhances LAGERS’ ability to support the 605 local subdivisions they serve through the portal’s customer service facility.
The project continues with implementation of benefit estimate, retirement application, and benefit payment functions. A feature-rich Member Web Portal will cap off the project in March 2012.
“Sagitec is excited and proud to see our solution have such an impact at LAGERS,” said Rod Sheppard, Sagitec Senior Partner. “We build software with purpose, and this implementation is a great example of the business value that Neospin™ brings to our customers. Success involves much more than just good technology. In the end, it’s the return on investment that counts.”
Jay Masci, President of Provaliant Retirement (which provides LAGERS with project management and oversight services) noted, “The implementation of the EWP has gone exceptionally well. Sagitec’s approach set new bench marks for best practice standards.”
“What is of vital importance to LAGERS is keeping this project on time and within budget while still meeting our business objectives,” said Bill Schwartz, LAGERS executive secretary. “I know this is not easy, but thanks to our first-rate team here—with my staff, Sagitec and Provaliant—the results to date have been excellent. I am looking forward to more of the same as we go forward.”
