In this new role, Jones is charged with design oversight for all of the company’s mobile and desktop offerings, including Thumbplay Music – hailed as the “definitive cloud-based music service” by TIME magazine.
Jones will leverage his deep experience in web and mobile product design to further enhance Thumbplay’s customer touch-points. Most recently, as Design Director at Alexander Interactive (Ai), Jones led a team of designers in developing research-driven, user-centric design methodologies for such clients as Virgin Mobile, GE, Citi and Lowe’s. Prior to Ai, Jones spent two years as the Senior Director at the MSDS design studio, where he lead interactive and brand design for TIAA-CREF, Acumen Fund/Google.org and Coupons.com, among others. Before that, his experience at various agencies included the development of interactive campaigns for BMW, Blockbuster and Home Depot.
