We are excited to partner with LocalShops1.com for this unique shopping experience, right here in the heart of our community

LocalShops1.com, a rapidly growing organization that supports locally owned businesses, announced an exciting new shopping event for the bay area. Shopapalooza is the result of LocalShops1.com efforts to promote local small business growth and the shopping experience for bay area consumers. The event will be from 10:00am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at BayWalk, St. Petersburg. This event is co-sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg.

“We are excited to partner with LocalShops1.com for this unique shopping experience, right here in the heart of our community,” said Mayor Bill Foster of St. Petersburg. “We believe this is an excellent way to help kickoff the holiday season.” Shopapalooza will offer entertainment for adults and children, prizes, and plenty of shopping from unique homemade gifts, to culinary delights from local restaurants.

“Shopapalooza is a fun way to kick off the holiday shopping season and bring the community together," says Ester Venouziou, President of LocalShops1.com. “It will give local businesses an opportunity to show off their products and services and get everyone excited about shopping locally."

Shopapalooza includes locally owned and operated businesses offering steep discounts on their products and services. One lucky shopper will win a $1,000 cash shopping spree and many will take advantage of pre-Black Friday specials and hourly raffles and giveaways. Event sponsors include: Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine, Gulfport! Magazine, Beach Life, MAD House, Inc. and Vistra Communications.

Shopapalooza is expecting 80 vendors and hundreds of shoppers during this 4-hour shopping event. This is a wonderful event for vendors to promote their brands and services in the community and build relationships with area shoppers. LocalShops1.com is currently accepting vendor applications. Local businesses, museums, art groups, and dance companies are expected to join LocalShops1.com and the City of St. Petersburg at to create the ultimate shopping experience for Bay Area shoppers.
