a long and winding road
Bloomington, IL (Vocus) October 7, 2010
This fall may be the most difficult time of the year for allergy sufferers, according to the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), as ragweed, fall’s main allergy trigger, is projected to thrive with increased carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.* One of the first steps in helping to relieve these allergy triggers is to conduct a deep, thorough clean of the whole home.
To get a deep, powerful clean, Eureka introduced AirSpeed, an upright bagless vacuum with two extra-wide, smooth air pipes that move high volumes of air directly from the floor to the dust cup and out again. In fact, AirSpeed cleans carpets better than Dyson DC14, DC17 and DC25 at one-third the price.** The vacuum also comes equipped with a HEPA filter to further help capture dust and allergens.
The AirSpeed Difference
The path from dirty carpets to clean floors used to be “a long and winding road” until the design team at Eureka developed AirSpeed based on the simple principle that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
“With AirSpeed, the average vacuums’ typically bended hose is replaced with wider, shorter tubes, allowing more airflow to go through the vacuum,” said Jackie Cooper, senior director of marketing and communications for Eureka. “This offers a powerful, deep clean that removes more than just the dirt you can see.”
The Eureka AirSpeed owes its powerful cleaning performance to several key design elements, all related to the way air moves through the vacuum.
The wide design of the two AirSpeed tubes increases the amount of airflow for powerful suction. One AirSpeed tube is short and direct, decreasing the distance dirt must travel to reach the dust cup.
Once dirt is delivered to the dust cup, Eureka’s Whirlwind Cyclonic Technology maintains suction power and separates larger debris from fine dust, resulting in less maintenance.***
After debris is safely captured, the other AirSpeed tube acts as an exhaust system, equalizing the amount of air leaving and entering the dust cup and maintaining ideal airflow through the cleaner. Eureka strategically placed the exhaust behind the dust cup, as opposed to at the head of the vacuum, so it won’t disturb dust and dirt not yet collected.
The Eureka AirSpeed is currently available for $119.96 only at Walmart and on Walmart.com. For additional information about AirSpeed, consumers can visit http://www.eureka.com/airspeed or call 1-800-282-2886.
