NETtime Solutions helps Schumacher Group achieve durability of time and attendance data and efficiencies through integrated telephony

On August 28, 2005, Hurricane Katrina made its anticipated landfall on the Gulf Coast states of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. The havoc wreaked by the category 4 hurricane caused Schumacher Group, based in Lafayette, LA, to consider how they could ensure the durability of their medical informatics and operational data should a similar natural disaster hit their main office.

Schumacher Group decided to move their business processes into the cloud in the event future storms might damage company headquarters. Interruption of continual access to their information systems by their emergency medicine staff was unacceptable.

When they investigated a SaaS replacement for their on-premise payroll and human resources system, data durability and security were of paramount concern as any solution had to meet stringent HIPAA requirements. What they found was a partnership between two SaaS companies, NETtime Solutions and Workday, that provided an end-to-end solution for their workforce management needs.
