Experience the Vegas Lights Through the Eyes of a Native

“The Adventures of Mr. Las Vegas”, the highly anticipated sophomore album from artist/producer Anu~Sun is scheduled for release on October 19, 2010. The project will be available online at ITunes, cdbaby.com (both physical and digital purchases available) and on anusun.bandcamp.com. The album features 15 original recordings including the sizzling title track “Mr. Las Vegas” (featuring Omar Lyefook, Robert Glasper & Chris “Daddy” Dave) and “Cum&GetIT” (an ode to the Native Tongues movement). Additional artists on the project include, DoItAll Dupré (from the hip hop group “The Lords of The Underground”) and jazz trumpeter Leron Thomas. Anu~Sun describes this project as “A genre blurring maturation of hip hop. It is the step child of 80’s nuwave, p-funk and jazz. It has an honest reflection of the life of a Vegas native.”

Loyal fans of Anu~Sun have supported the artist since the 2004 release of his debut album “Bohemian Chocolate”. That project featured the hit video “Soul Brotha” which ranked among the “Top 100 videos of 2004” on the BETJ (now Centric network). Making his home in Brooklyn, New York, the Las Vegas native captivates audiences regularly in some of New York City’s most notable underground venues. To date, Anu~Sun has opened for such renowned artists as Dwele, Bilal, Talib Kweli, and Amel Larrieux.

To celebrate his new release “The Adventures of Mr. Las Vegas”, Anu~Sun will be performing in SOB’s October edition of “Sol Village” (a monthly music showcase) on Wednesday 10/20/10 and at Port 41 Nightclub on Thursday, 10/21/10. Both showcases will take place in New York City at 9pm. These events will be a great opportunity for fans, media, friends and family to hear select tracks from the new project performed LIVE.
