AHA Solutions supports the ASHRM initiative to promote effective and innovative risk management strategies
Chicago, IL (Vocus) October 8, 2010
AHA Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association (AHA) focused on improving the operational performance of hospitals, will showcase its field leadership, education, research and health care recruiting services available to hospital financial, risk management and operations professionals at the 2010 American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) Conference & Exhibition, Oct. 13-16 in Tampa, Fla.
“AHA Solutions supports the ASHRM initiative to promote effective and innovative risk management strategies,” said Anthony Burke, CEO of AHA Solutions. “We believe we are a strong resource to the risk management community, linking healthcare organizations with the products and services that will help them improve overall operational efficiency and minimize risk, as well as supporting vendors that wish to expand into the healthcare market.”
Many ASHRM members are dealing with critical issues such as: implementing safe and effective patient care practices, preserving financial resources and maintaining a safe working environment. AHA Solutions will stage several ten minute presentations at its booth, #429, aimed at addressing these operational challenges. The “in booth” presentations will be hosted by executives from AHA Solutions, AHA-Endorsed partners and leading hospitals. Several presentations will feature hospital case studies as well as question and answer sessions. Presentation titles include:
Use of an Incident Reporting System in Support of the Just Culture, with a focus on Medication Systems Improvement, featuring WellSpan Health of York, PA.
Bridging the Gap between Risk and Claims: Identifying and Reducing Risk Through Claims Data
Don’t Have Language Services? You Should!
Leveraging Technology for Emergency Preparedness: Risk Management’s Role in Emergency Planning & Response, featuring Hendricks Regional Health of Danville, IN
Sustained Decrease in Employee Injuries and Workers’ Comp Cost Savings, featuring Baptist Health of Jacksonville, FL
All presentations will take place during exhibit hours, with the first presentation scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:30pm, with a complete schedule available at AHA Solutions’ booth #429.
In addition to the educational sessions, AHA Solutions executives will also be on-hand to discuss the AHA Endorsement. As a service to the nation’s hospitals, AHA Solutions engages in dialog and field research to identify their most pressing operational issues. Then AHA Solutions identifies and evaluates products and services which support performance improvement and awards the exclusive AHA Endorsement to those believed to best resolve hospitals’ challenges.
Conference attendees are encouraged to visit the booths of AHA-endorsed partners to learn more about their services and solutions, including:
Diligent – booth #600
Cyracom – booth #837
PolicyTech – booth #234
RL Solutions – booth #423
AHA Solutions Hosts Healthcare MarketMPact Focus Group
Also during the conference, AHA Solutions Vice President Tim Steffl will lead a focus group discussion with vendors and exhibitors geared toward helping vendors expand into the healthcare market. Many vendor companies have indicated that they are interested in helping hospitals improve operationally, but face challenges interpreting hospitals’ needs – especially in conjunction with health care reform. Exhibitors and companies interested in attending the focus group on Thursday morning, October 14, can obtain more information at AHA Solutions’ booth.
