Board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Livingston has been helping patients achieve their goals through state-of-the-art surgical techniques at Livingston Plastic Surgery for several years. With his recent election into three professional medical societies, Dr. Livingston is able to offer his patients not only the latest, but safest options in cosmetic plastic surgery.

In practice since 2003, Christopher K. Livingston, M.D., F.A.C.S., P.A. continues to perfect and enhance his skills as a board certified plastic surgeon. In addition to his certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), Dr. Livingston has recently been elected into three well-respected professional societies – the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons (ASMS), and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS).

When asked what it means to be elected into these societies, “It means to the patient that we have up-to-date procedures that are safe and effective,” says Dr. Livingston.

Dr. Livingston is a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Houston, Texas, offering the most advanced technologies to help patients achieve their aesthetic goals. Concentrating on multiple facets of plastic surgery, including procedures for the face, breasts, and body, Dr. Livingston continues to incorporate the latest techniques and procedures at his private practice. At Livingston Plastic Surgery, his patients may enjoy a non-pressuring environment where they are able to feel comfortable, informed, and safe.

In existence since 1967, the ASAPS has more than 2,600 members in the United States, Canada, and other countries. According to Dr. Livingston, only about 20 percent of board certified plastic surgeons are accepted into the ASAPS – he is among these select cosmetic professionals.

In addition to his ASAPS membership, Dr. Livingston’s subspecialty in hand and facial surgery, including craniofacial reconstruction following tumor ablation, has helped him gain recognition from the ASMS and the AAHS. The mission of the AAHS is to foster and promote the highest quality of hand care through the development and sponsorship of educational programs related to the hand and upper extremity. The ASMS is among the oldest American organizations representing maxillofacial surgeons who are devoted to improving and promoting the highest levels of patient care. Maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeons specialize in bone and soft tissue reconstruction and enhancement of the face – one of Dr. Livingston’s top skills incorporated at Livingston Plastic Surgery.

Along with his memberships in the ASAPS, AAHS, and ASMS, Dr. Livingston contributes his expertise and experience as a surgeon while teaching at the University of Texas School of Medicine. He trains residents in the division of plastic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science.
