More Than Ten New Collections to Create Spooky Party Invites, Slideshows, Photo Books, and More

Scrapblog™, the leading online service for social storytelling through photos, today announced the addition of more than ten new Halloween collections for users to capture their favorite Halloween photos and videos. Scrap Orchard, Moo Tree Designs, and several other well-known designers contributed brand new content that has been added to the Scrapblog Virtual Marketplace, where users can also find licensed content and designs from other marquee partners such as Disney.

Scrapblog users can easily create items as varied as Halloween party invitations, greeting cards, and commemorations of a new baby’s first Halloween or their children’s visit to the pumpkin patch. After they choose a design, Scrapblog’s intelligent “Add the Perfect Match” technology suggests coordinating items that complement their selection. Other product offerings include online slideshows – which can be shared immediately via Facebook, Twitter, or email – keepsake books, and calendars. These all easily incorporate users’ photos and videos, wherever they may be: on their own computers, Facebook, Photobucket, Picasa, Flickr, YouTube, and a variety of other providers.

To sweeten the candy bucket, Scrapblog has also launched a Halloween Challenge for users that create Halloween designs between Tuesday, October 11, and Sunday, November 7, 2010. Every time a user creates a Halloween Scrapblog during this period, they can choose to publish it to a gallery where other users can vote on their favorites. Three Grand Prize winners – the one with the most votes from the community, a Scrapblog staff chosen pick, and a random selection – will all win a free hardcover book (minimum $39.99 value) and 2,500 Scrapblog credits, which can be redeemed for over 50,000 assets in the Scrapblog Virtual Goods Marketplace. For more information on the Scrapblog Halloween Challenge and to get started, please visit http://promos.scrapblog.com/halloween.

Throughout the month of October, Scrapblog will be discounting Halloween content for a limited time only to an audience of special email recipients. These “Deals of the Day” last only 24 hours, with certain content being offered at 50% off. Users can purchase the content during the sale and use it anytime. To sign up for the Deal of the Day email list, simply visit http://bit.ly/9ZjVmA.

Finally, Scrapblog is also offering a 20% discount off all printed products during the contest period so that users have an extra incentive to share tangible memories with friends and family. Children especially will be excited to show off their costumes to faraway relatives, and Grandma and Grandpa can feel as though they were part of the experience.

“Halloween is an incredibly popular photo- and video-taking holiday for our users,” said Jill Braff, President and CEO of Scrapblog. “User photos and videos of Halloween, combined with our unique designs, make for excellent sharing opportunities to show off your little ones to friends and family.”
