Interview with World-Renowned Financial Executive to Offer Direct Insights to Career Success for Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Treasury Professionals

Proformative, The Resource for corporate finance, accounting, and treasury professionals has announced that the next installment of its "Inside the Executive Suite" series will feature Barry McCarthy, CFO, Netflix, Inc. The webinar will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2010, from 11:30am - 12:30pm Eastern Time.

The Inside the Executive Suite interview series is designed to offer insights into the success of renowned senior executives with the goal of helping finance, treasury, and accounting professionals understand what it takes to get the keys to the Executive Suite -- and not have the locks changed on them. Proformative’s highly successful initial offerings of the Inside the Executive Suite series featured Ken Goldman, the CFO of Fortinet, and Bob Kavner, Chairman of the Board of Aptera Motors and former CFO of AT&T. Given the caliber of our subjects, we believe each one will be highly instructive and valuable to all who listen.

In this installment of the series, McCarthy share insights into a professional career that includes becoming the CFO of Netflix in 1999 and managing the growth of the company into the world's leading online movie rental service. He will be interviewed by Cliff Scheffel, Managing Partner of KarrScheffel, LLC, a boutique retained search firm focused on the finance professional. Scheffel, who earned his CPA at Deloitte, will bring to the surface pivotal career decisions, good breaks realized, and challenges overcome along McCarthy's path to success, along with insights into how one successfully leads the finance and related organizations of a great growth company like Netflix.

"Proformative exists to help its members solve a wide range of finance, accounting, and business issues," said John Kogan, Chief Executive Officer of Proformative. "The advice and insight from Barry McCarthy, an accomplished finance leader who really understands how to drive success in any economic environment , will be invaluable to all who listen."

McCarthy is currently the CFO at Netflix Inc. He has served as CFO at Netflix since 1999. During his tenure as CFO Netflix has grown from zero subscribers in 1999 to over 15.0 million while reporting more than $1.6 billion in annual revenue in 2009. Barry also serves on the Board of kaChing, an online investment company and Chegg, an online textbook rental company. Barry holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Williams College.
