Betenbough Homes is one of the most intentional companies we have encountered in terms of integrating practical Christian faith principles into the fabric of their business while maintaining a very high level of business performance.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 13, 2010
The CEO Institute announced today that Rick Betenbough and Jon Jackson, president and financial director, respectively, of Betenbough Homes - headquartered in Lubbock, Texas - will keynote the next CEO Roundtable on Thursday, November 4 in Dallas. The title of their presentation is “Transforming Your Company for God’s Purposes.”
The largest home builder in West Texas, Betenbough Homes built more than 300 homes for families across West Texas in 2009 alone. Sales continue to climb in 2010, a time when many home builders are experiencing severe sales declines. The company actually reached its annual sales goal by the end of August 2010.
Founded in 1992, Betenbough Homes built a unique company culture based on Christian values and biblical principles. In 2004, the leadership team moved from the mission of “More home for less money” to the company’s current mission statement, “To best use our resources to promote the Kingdom of God.” Since its inception, Betenbough Homes has given more than $22 million to support ministries around the globe. At times, this has been as much as 82 percent of the annual net profit.
Co-founders of Betenbough Homes, father and son duo – Ron and Rick Betenbough – personify the giving culture of the business. Today, the company’s 65 employees share in both ownership and profit distributions.
“Full-time ministry is right here in the marketplace,” states Rick Betenbough, president of Betenbough Homes. “All of us must work to make a living, and the marketplace is where we spend the majority of our time; therefore, marketplace ministry is absolutely for every one of us.”
Betenbough Homes is not only committed to giving financially to Christian ministries. A large number of the organization’s employees also participate annually in mission trips around the world and in supporting global ministries as well as local ministries in the three communities where the company has building operations.
In an effort to set Christ as the top priority, each day begins with an optional devotion time where employees gather to share in bible studies, guest and internal speaking presentations and/or prayer time. In addition to this time, Betenbough Homes offers its team members various volunteering opportunities throughout the year including garnering supplies for local storehouses, serving meals to less fortunate families during the holiday season and adopting a specific group to bless at Christmas.
A condensed, 16-minute film of the Betenbough Homes story can be viewed on the company Web site, http://www.betenbough.com, by clicking on the Marketplace Ministry icon. The full 38-minute version of the DVD can be obtained by contacting Betenbough Homes.
“The CEO Institute is honored to have Rick Betenbough and Jon Jackson deliver the keynote presentation at its November 4 CEO Roundtable,” said Lane Kramer, President and Founder. “Betenbough Homes is one of the most intentional companies we have encountered in terms of integrating practical Christian faith principles into the fabric of their business while maintaining a very high level of business performance.” Kramer will be moderating the November 4 CEO Roundtable.

The first event will be held from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and an identical second event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.
