The Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award recognizes the ATA member who impacts the community through direct or indirect support of charitable projects. The leaders of this company are required to demonstrate a high level of community spirit and participation, motivating their employees and colleagues to embrace these charitable activities.
As part of their philanthropic initiative, Protocol teamed up with the American Red Cross to donate 480 pints of blood in a company-wide blood drive in 2009. This was followed by a school supply drive, in which over 3,000 supplies were collected and distributed to non-profit daycare facilities, schools and other educational organizations. This year, Protocol has risen to the challenge by collecting over 2,700 items of clothing, which were donated to organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. They also worked nearly 500 hours building homes, privacy fences, landscaping newly built homes and tracking inventory for Habitat for Humanity, as well as lending a hand at many overwhelmed and understaffed community homeless shelters.
