Not only is this exciting for us as the development team, but also for everyone at Euclid City Schools and Mayfield Village who put their time and effort into planning the layout and organization of the sites’ content
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) October 13, 2010
WRIS Web Services, a Cleveland web design firm, announced today that it has won two of The Web Marketing Association’s WebAwards recognizing the Euclid City Schools and Mayfield Village websites. Euclid City Schools received the Outstanding Website award in the Schools category, while Mayfield village was awarded the Standard of Excellence in the Government Category.
The Web Marketing Association describes this award, “Few Website award programs recognize the individual achievement behind the creation of today's top web sites the way we do at the Web Marketing Association. We believe it is important to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective and best web sites on the Internet today. But more than just an award program that Internet marketing experts use to increase website visibility, the WebAwards provides a benchmark by which all Website development can be judged. Almost a decade and a half’s worth of judging scores defines what Internet marketing professionals should strive for in their website marketing and design efforts. These historical results are now used to provide a point of reference and feedback to website marketing professionals who enter.”
The Euclid City Schools site was recent redesigned with the goal of consolidating information from over 13 academic buildings into one audience-specific website that caters to the entire Euclid City Schools community. The site includes audience specific navigation and RSS news feeds. In addition to updatable events, news and video, quick links make it easy for visitors to jump directly to relevant community information.
The Mayfield Village website was recently redesigned and the result was an informative site that was easy to navigate. The site houses areas for Government, Services, Residents, Planning Development and Recreation. As a result, the site addresses the needs of all community members and partners. As the city and WRIS Web Services had hoped, one judge stated, “The quick link and calendar seem very useful for the audience.”
“We are so happy to have been recognized for these great websites,” said Charlie Meyers, Founder and President of WRIS Web Services. “Not only is this exciting for us as the development team, but also for everyone at Euclid City Schools and Mayfield Village who put their time and effort into planning the layout and organization of the sites’ content. Thank you!”
