Four Seasons Executive Heads Experienced Team at Maui’s Only Mobil Five-Star Resort

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea announces the appointment of Ben Shank as director of food and beverage, overseeing dining operations at the resort’s premium restaurants, Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante and DUO, a premium steak and seafood restaurant, as well as all food service and catering throughout the resort.

Mr. Shank comes to Four Seasons Resort Maui from Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Northern San Diego County where he served as director of food and beverage after joining the resort as assistant director of food and beverage in 2007. Prior to his time at Four Seasons Resort Aviara, Mr. Shank was the assistant director of food and beverage at the Four Seasons New York.

Mr. Shank graduated from Pennsylvania State University’s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) in 2000 and is married to Jen Shank, also a 2000 graduate of Penn State. The couple has a daughter, Hunter, age 2-1/2, and a son, Brooks, 9 months. Mr. Shank is active in Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development’s Mentoring Program and received the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society’s Emerging Professional Award in 2005. Mr. Shank also attended the Australian International Hotel School, affiliated with the Cornell University Hotel School.
