Organize.com, Inc. (http://www.organize.com), a leading retailer of home storage and organization consumer products has been named to Inc. magazine’s prestigious Inc. 5000 list, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest growing private companies.

The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2006 to 2009. Organize.com qualified, ranking number 3939 on the list. Organize.com president Terry Shearer commented on the award: “We are thrilled to have made the list for the 3rd consecutive year despite the tough economy. We are honored to be recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the nation’s top entrepreneurial companies.”

Organize.com’s continued growth is attributed to serving a niche market with a focus and passion for storage and organization. "We are able to serve the economy whether it's up or down," said President Terry Shearer. "When the economy and home sales are slower, people stay in the same living spaces, but need to create more living and storage space. When the economy is stronger, new home sales and home improvement projects create increased sales for us.” Deborah Shearer, Vice President of Marketing & Merchandising adds, “Our continued growth as a company is a direct result of our ability to provide innovative and relevant storage and organization products that directly meet the needs of our customers. We also continue to seek new, trend-setting products to offer our customers what they have come to know and expect from us.”

The Inc. 500|5000 list serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126%. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
