The highlight of the month of October is Powered’s sponsorship of the 2010 ANA Annual Conference happening October 13-16 in Orlando. The Masters of Marketing is the premier event for senior marketers and chief marketing officers and this year, ANA’s 100th, the focus will be on Growth: Mastering Brands and Driving Results. Several Powered executives will be sharing their wisdom at the conference, including Chief Interruptor and author of several books including the recent Flip the Funnel, Joe Jaffe, CMO Aaron Strout and VP Business Development Kevin Tate.
Powered’s sponsorship of the conference is rather unique. All ANA members will receive a copy of Jaffe’s book and Powered is ensuring free Internet service through out the conference, and in hotel rooms. Most important, Powered partnered with ANA to develop Social Media: Your Questions, Our Answers, a series of videos with Powered expert executives addressing the top 10 most-asked social media questions from ANA members.
Strout kicked off the month in Massachusetts at FutureM, the Future of Marketing, participating in a panel, held Monday, October 4, discussing "What's New and What's Next in GeoMarketing.” This panel fits perfectly into Strout’s area of focus, and a Powered expertise, on all things location based, including Foursquare, Gowalla, even the new Facebook Places.
Powered continued its involvement with FutureM at the Boston Inbound Marketing Summit, October 6 – 7 at Gillette Stadium. Powered is pleased to sponsor the series of conferences hosted by Chris Brogan, and put together by New Marketing Labs. The Boston event, part of the week long focus on Massachusetts as a hub for next generation marketing, included Powered Director of Strategy, Valeria Maltoni, leading a session on Influence, called “Everyone is Wrong About Influence (Except your Customers).
Right after the ANA event in Orlando, Powered heads to Las Vegas, to be part of BlogWorld and New Media Expo 2010, October 15-16, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Strout will continue his LBS focus, moderating a panel called Location, Location, Location, with speakers Lawrence Coburn, Mike Schneider and Wayne Sutton, all who are speaking in the company of other new media leaders at BlogWorld, which has emerged as the world’s largest new media event.
October speaking concludes at the International Association of Business Communicators – IABC - Heritage Conference, October 17-19, in Philadelphia, where Maltoni will speak again, this time addressing "Why Social Media is Important for Brands and How to Develop, Implement, Measure and Manage a Program.” IABC brings together key marketing leaders in its Heritage Region, serving 17 US states including Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, of course, and Washington, DC.
