Cellar Angels, LLC., and The V Foundation for Cancer Research, announced today their partnership to raise funds for cancer research. Cellar Angels, a Chicago based web marketing company promoting exceptional weekly wine deals via online single day events, was chosen by The V Foundation for their unique charity component. Each week Cellar Angels features a single wine to its subscribers for a reduced price with portions of all proceeds directed towards a charity the subscriber selects upon checkout. The V Foundation for Cancer Research is now one of six charity partners.
The V Foundation was founded in 1993 by ESPN and legendary coach Jim Valvano. Since 1993, The V Foundation has raised more than $100 million and awarded cancer research grants in 38 states. “Since their founding, The V Foundation has truly embraced the passion, charisma and persistence of Jim Valvano, creating an organization in his image to find a cure for cancer. We are truly honored to partner in their mission,” said Martin Cody, President, Cellar Angels. “We’re joining forces with some very impressive wineries sharing our philosophy of 'giving back' and are excited about the fund raising potential.”
“We are happy to be a recipient of Cellar Angels’ fundraising efforts,” says Nick Valvano, CEO of The V Foundation. “Net proceeds raised from their weekly promotions will help fund essential cancer research nationwide.”
Cellar Angels will promote The V Foundation via their website events and allow all subscribers to select The V Foundation upon checkout as a funds recipient.
