Cornerstone Marketing Services, an Orlando-based business-to-business teleservices firm, announced today that the company has met the requirements of and has been certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC). This certification enables Cornerstone Marketing Services to be recognized as a WBE when competing for business from corporations and public sector entities with diversity initiatives.

The WBE certification process is rigorous and comprehensive. Women business owners seeking WBE certification must prove that at least 51% of the company is owned, controlled and operated by one or more women and provide clear and documented evidence that the woman owner is the final decision maker for all aspects of the business – financial, operational, contractual. It extends well beyond simple verification of legal ownership, and closely examines that the business is controlled and operated by the woman owner.
