Your cell phone sob story might win you or someone you love a Mobile Makeover from Wirefly - replacing a dilapidated device with a spanking new smartphone!

Is your phone old enough to remember the Clinton Administration? Does your friend regret bedazzling his BlackBerry in college? Has your mother had to “MacGyver” her phone with duct tape because she dropped it one too many times? Your cell phone sob story might win you or someone you love a Mobile Makeover from Wirefly - replacing a dilapidated device with a spanking new smartphone!

To celebrate its seventh year as the Internet’s leading authorized retailer of cell phones and cell phone plans, Wirefly (http://www.wirefly.com) today announces the Wirefly Mobile Makeover Contest, co-sponsored by HTC® and BlackBerry®.

From now until October 28, consumers are encouraged to visit http://www.WireflyContest.com to submit an entertaining anecdote, explaining why they - or someone close to them - are long overdue for a new phone. Entrants can even upload a photo or video to illustrate their tales of mobile woe!

Three winners will be selected to receive a brand new BlackBerry or HTC Android-powered smartphone to replace their ailing devices. Those entering for a friend in need could also win $100 for themselves.

How to Enter
Contestants can submit their makeover pleas for consideration until October 28, 2010 at http://www.WireflyContest.com.

In 400 characters or less, tell us why you or your friend is in dire need of a Mobile Makeover. You can craft a cry for help, recount a tragic story of device destruction, or even confess the shame and embarrassment you regularly face because of your old-school cell phone.

Attaching a photo or video to your entry is optional, but keep in mind that a picture is worth a thousand words (and so is a video!).

How to Win
A Wirefly judging panel will review all contest submissions and select three winners based on originality, creativity - and, of course, how desperately the person in question needs a brand new phone!

The winners will be announced on November 2, 2010 and their stories will be posted on the Wirefly Contest page for all to enjoy.

Award Prizes
Three winners will each receive a BlackBerry or HTC Android-powered smartphone of their choice from the Wirefly storefront. $100 will be awarded to anyone who enters a friend who wins.

Additional information, such as full rules and regulations, are available on http://www.WireflyContest.com/makeover.
