In a tough national economy and an even tougher racing economy two of NASCAR's top level drivers have, for the second straight year, chosen to support the grass roots of Stock Car racing.

Our goal is to recognize as many of those early drivers, mechanic, owners, and media folks as we can while they are still with us

David Ragan and Greg Biffle are among the racing elite and among those who care about the early drivers who helped form the roots of auto racing. For the past two years both drivers have made donations to support the RacersReunion Memory Lane Hall Of Fame in Mooresville, NC. This hall of fame was founded in 2009 to recognize early racing participants.

"Our goal is to recognize as many of those early drivers, mechanic, owners, and media folks as we can while they are still with us," said Jeff Gilder, founding member. "We are inducting fifteen honorees this year…twelve living and 3 posthumously. With decades of racing now behind us, we recognize the stars as well as those who may not have made headlines while they were making history. It is awesome to see some of the current racing stars supporting the guys that helped paved the way."
This year's class of inductees includes Tiger Tom Pistone, Hank Thomas, Charlie Glotzbach, Ned Jarrett, Paul Radford, Bobby Allison, Jody Ridley, Louise Smith, Jabe Thomas, Rex White, Earl Brooks, Joe Henry Thurman, Jimmy Lewallen and Curtis Crider.

There will be an inductee's brunch at the Bob Evans in Mooresville at 11:00 AM Sunday. The festivities begin at Memory Lane Museum in on Highway 150 in Mooresville at noon with a cruise in. The induction ceremony begins at 2 PM and an autograph session begins at 4 PM. Other participating sponsors include Coca-Cola, Sunoco Race Fuels, Hagerty Collector Car Insurance, The Wingate Hotel of Mooresville, The Hilton Garden of Mooresville, Congdon Competition, Tiger Tom Pistone Race Cars, International Collectors and Antiques, Rockingham Speedway, Fast Track Driving School, Beam Trailer Sales, and Memory Lane Museum.
