Our partnership with Mount Olive Family Medicine undoubtedly fosters a greater quality of care for the patients of this rural practice.
Dallas, TX (Vocus) October 14, 2010
Aprima Medical Software, a leading developer of electronic health record (EHR), practice management (PM) and revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions for medical practices, today announced that Mount Olive Family Medicine, a designated Rural Health Center in Mount Olive, N.C., has selected Aprima’s EHR/PM solution for its mid-size physician practice.
“When we began our search for an EHR system, we created a research team of practice administrators and physicians that were tasked with reviewing various EHRs,” said Carol Dilda, Practice Manager, Mount Olive Family Medicine. “After a nine-month research process we narrowed down our choices to two EHR systems. Aprima was the unanimous choice among our physicians due to its user-friendly nature, which derives from its template-free design.”
Clinicians at Mount Olive Family Medicine see approximately 150 patients per day at its main office and walk-in clinic. Since implementing Aprima’s EHR/PM solution, Dilda has seen significant improvements in managing workflow and accurately tracking its large volume of patients.
“As a rural health site, our practice has already experienced how the reporting capabilities of Aprima’s PM solution provide value to the practice,” said Dilda. “Patient billing has become much easier, and the cycle of payments has become much quicker. Instead of waiting for a 30-day billing cycle, we are billing instantly, which is a great timesaver for us.”
Dilda is confident that the practice will qualify for Meaningful Use incentives under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). “Aprima has done its homework,” she said. “We are confident that we will qualify for the stimulus funds.”
Mount Olive Family Medicine is also eligible for a 10 percent additional “Meaningful Use” bonus incentive that is available to practices working in a Rural Health Setting. Under the Medicaid program, this can take the $63,750 maximum payment per eligible provider up to $70,125.
“Our partnership with Mount Olive Family Medicine undoubtedly fosters a greater quality of care for the patients of this rural practice,” said Michael Nissenbaum, CEO and President of Aprima. “Aprima looks forward to providing Mount Olive with the tools it needs as the practice strives to achieve ‘Meaningful Use’ standards that are necessary for receiving federal stimulus reimbursement.”
Aprima’s template-free, content rich EHR software enables providers to follow their own protocols. Its adaptive learning feature speeds adoption and deployment, a critical capability as medical practices seek to meet “Meaningful Use” standards for government stimulus fund reimbursements. Furthermore, as a single EHR + PM application built on a single database, Aprima affords users with the fastest access to clinical and financial data. AprimaRCM addresses practices’ needs for seasoned financial expertise by delivering insight that helps practices collect every dollar they earn. Aprima’s licensing plans make sense for everyone from a solo rural practitioner to a multi-specialty urban group.
