We are excited to work with Trilliant as they establish a Smart Grid channel strategy within the municipal and co-op utility industry
Redwood City, CA (Vocus) October 14, 2010
Trilliant Incorporated, a Smart Grid communications provider and leader in delivering solutions that enhance energy efficiency, utility operations, and renewable resource integration, today announced a distribution agreement with HD Supply Utilities, North America's largest electric utilities distributor. Under the agreement, HD Supply Utilities will offer Trilliant's full line of Smart Grid solutions to its municipal and electric cooperative utility customers.
Trilliant has led the Smart Grid industry in the development and deployment of a Smart Grid multi-tier architecture, which provides an integrated communications solution coupled with head-end software to provide public power utilities with a solution to meet their Smart Grid networking demands. Trilliant's multi-tier Smart Grid architecture also provides distinct components that are fine-tuned for each tier.
HD Supply Utilities will resell and integrate the components of the multi-tier architecture, including Trilliant’s award-winning SecureMesh™ communications network. The SecureMesh architecture provides a high-bandwidth private Wide Area Network (WAN), Neighborhood Area Network (NAN), and Home Area Network (HAN) to interconnect meters, consumer devices, and other Smart Grid-enabled devices. HD Supply Utilities will also distribute Trilliant’s UnitySuite™ head-end software, which is used to manage Smart Grid networks.
HD Supply Utilities today offers a full suite of end-to-end integrated Smart Grid technology solutions to investor-owned, municipal and electric cooperative utility companies. The solutions span from the home area network to the back-end utility infrastructure.
