The exclusive one-day event will be held at LA Center Studios in Los Angeles on October 21, 2010. Malin will discuss the future of transmedia and Social Animal’s upcoming plans. Social Animal will also premiere a variety of 360° entertainment content in the full-dome theater culminating in the release of the video from Amusement Parks on Fire, a popular band from Nottingham, UK, for their new song “Black Hole Kids.” The video was directed by renowned photographer Piper Ferguson and produced by Social Animal, in conjunction with Filter US Recordings. In this rare full dome projection event, the audience will be situated in the middle of this 360° experience, surrounded by the video of the band’s performance. The video will be simultaneously released online via Filter.com.
The world’s first Immersive Technology Summit brings together the who’s who of immersive technology for in-depth discussions and collaboration on themes of innovation, applications, and future development. Immersive Tech (ImTech) will feature a full complement of industry speakers, panel discussions, interactive exhibits and product demonstrations, theater presentations in a 50-foot hemispherical dome, networking events and insider access to new technologies.
