This project would have proved testing for any major sign company but it is testament to Signs Express Aberdeen's resources that it has been able to provide such a smart new look that encompasses many different types of signage

The Aberdeen signage specialist was contracted to rebrand all the signage inside and out of The Mall Trinity as it re-launched back to its original name of The Trinity Centre. The full rebrand required numerous signage solutions to be utilised and included over 250 square metres of vinyl to be printed and laminated. The new signs included interior and exterior sign trays and inserts for light boxes and directories; wall panel displays; exterior street banners; and cut and printed vinyl graphics in lifts and on doors, cash and pay machines along with car park barriers.
Split into four main award categories – Interior, Exterior, Vehicle and Project – the awards were independently judged by British Sign & Graphics Association (BSGA) director David Catanach and Sign Directions’ editor Val Hirst. “This project would have proved testing for any major sign company but it is testament to Signs Express Aberdeen’s resources that it has been able to provide such a smart new look that encompasses many different types of signage,” commented David. “The fact that much of the installation work had to be done outside normal hours lends extra kudos to the Aberdeen-based business.”
Based on the Kirkhill Industrial Estate, Signs Express (Aberdeen) has been part of the Signs Express network since 1996. Centre owner Jim Gifford commented on the award announcement: “We were delighted to win the award for our work with the Trinity Centre. It’s an excellent achievement not just for myself but also for the team as a whole. “There were months of preparation work for this project culminating in a very busy two weeks of installations. We were delighted that it came together as well as it did and very proud of the final result.”
Runners up in the Best Project award were Signs Express (Exeter) for its work with Exeter City Football Club and Signs Express (Glasgow) for The Glasgow Science Centre. Other category award winners included Signs Express (Reading) for best Interior Sign, Signs Express (Falkirk) for the best Vehicle Graphics award and Signs Express (Grantham) for the Exterior Sign award.
