Force 3 Awarded $9M Contract by the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) to Provide Networking Hardware and Maintenance

Force 3 announces that it has been awarded a $9M contract by The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) to provide networking hardware and maintenance.

Force 3, delivering the best in federal security, unified communications and data center solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a $9M indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Virginia Beach, Va.

Under the contract, Force 3 will provide Cisco brand name products such as routers, switches, IP phones, VOIP servers, software, associated hardware and consumables, support/maintenance of Cisco products and professional services for NEXCOM’s facilities in the United States and abroad. In addition, Force 3 will suggest technological refreshment advice that will assist NEXCOM to lower costs, improve performance and remain current with industry standards.

In April 2010, Force 3 was awarded a $1.2M IDIQ contract to install and integrate a number of turnkey Cisco Unified Communications solutions to better leverage and extend NEXCOM’s IT and telecommunications investments.

NEXCOM oversees five primary business programs: all Navy Exchange (NEX) Retail Stores and Services; the Navy Lodge Program; the Uniform Program Management Office; the Ship’s Stores Program; and the Telecommunications Program Office.
