AuctionPoint Inc (http://www.AuctionPoint.com), a LoopNet Partner, announced today that Brett Raskin, Executive Vice President of Business Development, has been honored as one of Real Estate Forum’s 40 Under 40 recipients. The editors of Real Estate Forum identified these recipients from across the US as the 40 industry professionals under 40 who are making the greatest impact on the real estate profession.
AuctionPoint CEO Joe Tang noted “This is well-deserved recognition. Brett is a tremendous asset to AuctionPoint – his strategic leadership has played a key role in our growth.”
Brett is part of the founding team at AuctionPoint that was instrumental in securing strategic partnerships with LoopNet, NAI Global, Sperry Van Ness and CCIM. Brett has grown AuctionPoint’s client base from local (Southern California) to national in a 12 month period, and the sales team he assembled has reached over 40,000 commercial brokers from all the major brokerage houses, including CB Richard Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers. Since Brett joined AuctionPoint, the company has secured over $100 million in new auctions for property types ranging from high image offices to golf courses to major industrial buildings.
“I’m honored to be part of such a distinguished group of industry leaders,” said Raskin. “It’s a great tribute to the entire AuctionPoint team.”
Brett thrives on turning opportunities into success stories, having positioned over one million square feet of real estate for sale, ranging in price from $100,000 to over $100 million. From multi-family and condo conversions, to office, retail and ground-up development deals, Brett is an accomplished specialist in many aspects of real estate sales and marketing. Brett’s career as an entrepreneur began at age 9, when he would trade silver on Mexico’s beaches during family vacations. Since then, he’s launched an Internet startup, a sports bar, an event planning business and a marketing agency.
Brett holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, where he served as Class President.
AuctionPoint, an innovative online auction platform, is changing the way the real estate industry does business. At a time when the market is at a standstill, auctions create liquidity – motivating buyers to act and closing the gap between buyer and seller pricing expectations. Created by technology entrepreneur Joe Tang and real estate developer Keith Yang, AuctionPoint enables brokers to auction properties online under their name and brand, while keeping their full commission. LoopNet, the largest and most heavily trafficked commercial real estate listing service online, became a strategic investor in 2010 and now markets AuctionPoint as its exclusive online auction offering.
