The U.S. transportation industry employs over three million truck drivers, of which approximately 28 percent suffer from Sleep Apnea alone. Sleep is a fundamental function of the brain and Sleep Apnea is only one of over 70 sleep disorders that are known to cause costly diseases when left untreated, including Weight Gain, Hypertension, Type II Diabetes, Heart Disease and Stroke. Eliminating sleep disorders can reduce healthcare costs by as much as 50 percent, reduce absenteeism and curb driver turnover while increasing productivity and sharply reducing the risk of traffic accidents.
