Matthew Bridges, M.D. gets ENT and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Certifications

He is truly a master of his craft

Chesterfield surgeon, Dr. Matthew Bridges, achieved a unique double board certification, showing true dedication to the practice of medicine. Dr. Bridges was recently granted board certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc. He was already board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (i.e., ENT or Ear, Nose, and Throat). This unique double board certification puts Dr. Bridges on the forefront of facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgical procedures. Whether diagnosing diseases of the ear, nose and throat, or performing delicate eyelid surgeries and facial implants, Dr. Bridges' unique combined specialties and years of experience make him a most-requested physician at Stony Point Surgery Center.

After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Virginia, graduating with highest distinction, Dr. Matthew Bridges completed an ENT residency training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. During his subsequent four-year military career with the United States Air Force, Dr. Bridges became increasingly interested in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, perfecting his technique and achieving the rank of Major at the same time. Dr. Bridges followed this experience with a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery.

"He is truly a master of his craft," says Bruce P. Kupper, FACHE, CEO of Stony Point Surgery Center.
