Staff at The Revival Company, the UK’s premium nationwide independent disaster recovery company, have been able to spend more time on restoring fire and flood-affected properties and less time on unproductive admin procedures after the company implemented an innovative and time-saving leave and absence management solution at its head office in Oxford.
Wanting to speed up the holiday booking process at its Oxford office and keep more accurate records of staff leave and absence, The Revival Company implemented LeaveMaster, an automated, web-based leave management application. Staff at its head office are now spending substantially less time on holiday administration and the Revival Company’s managers have also been given a powerful tool for tackling absenteeism; giving the restoration specialists an outstanding return on their investment.
“Prior to implementing LeaveMaster, we used a manual system to manage and record leave, but it took staff too long to make and process holiday requests and paperwork was often mislaid,” Jim Herrington, Director of Operations at The Revival Company (UK) Ltd commented. “We decided to implement an online leave and absence management system so that we could keep an accurate record of holidays and sick leave and save time processing leave requests,” Jim added. “We saw LeaveMaster and felt that it offered exactly what we were looking for and we are all now spending significantly less time on holiday admin and mislaid holiday paperwork has ceased to be an issue.”

To book a holiday or request time off in lieu using LeaveMaster, rather than filling out a form, an employee simply logs into a web-based application and requests their leave online. This triggers an email to their line manager, who can see at a glance who else is away on the days requested, before authorising or denying the request at the click of a button. Details of all upcoming employee leave is then stored in a leave calendar.
