Elvis, performed by Kraig Parker, will perform at a charity fundraiser to benefit Summer Santa Children's Charity

Elvis is coming to North Texas! Yes, Summer Santa, the all-volunteer charity that helps thousands of area kids each year, is entering its 15th year of operation with no paid staff and no physical office. We're celebrating with The King!

Elvis, performed by Kraig Parker, will perform at a charity fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 at the Palace Theatre in Grapevine, Texas.

The "If I Can Dream" concert begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m. Each ticket includes food and beverages at the reception. Tickets are $75 for premium seating and $50. Visit for information and to purchase.

Ten days before, Summer Santa is hosting a pre-concert VIP party at the unique Westlake, Texas home of Kelly and Scott Bradley on Thursday, November 4, 2010 to honor event sponsors and donors and long time supporters. The party, from 6-9:30 p.m., will be catered by Chef Point Café of Watauga. LongShot Band will entertain while tours are given of the historic 1938 Paigebrooke Farm residence designed by Charles Dilbeck. Tickets cost $50 and include food and beverages.

The house has been the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper features. Paigebrooke Farm, named after the Bradley’s daughters, was originally built for Ted Dealey, publisher of the Dallas Morning News, in 1938. Architect Charles Dilbeck used materials from Fort Worth’s first train station and the old courthouse and post office in Dallas to create this artful one-of-a-kind Texas ranch house.

In the late 1990’s, the house was moved from its previous location to make way for Fidelity Investments, now on the original site. Recreating the house was a labor of love for the Bradleys that took 10 years. Summer Santa thanks them for generously sharing their home with our friends.

Summer Santa provides area children with back-to-school clothes, school supplies, toys, books, summer camps, sports team activities, and medical physicals. More than 33,000 children from Keller ISD, Birdville ISD, Northwest ISD, HEB ISD, Grapevine/Colleyville ISD and Southlake Carroll ISD have been served by this all volunteer charity since 1997.
