I wanted to explore and make some music suited for the clubs. It was a nice contrast to my usual ‘heavy electronic soundtrack’ sound and the rockier tracks I usually do.

The new double album ‘BS In Da Club’ is Swedish born producer BigSwede’s 2nd artist recording and is expected to reflect the growing stature of a man who is up and coming in the film/TV scoring and music production world. The first single, titled ‘Aliens In Hollywood’, released October 22th and the video premiered online earlier this month as a pre-release.
BigSwede had this to say regarding the new album: “I wanted to explore and make some music suited for the clubs. It was a nice contrast to my usual ‘heavy electronic soundtrack’ sound and the rockier tracks I usually do”
BigSwede’s career highlights to date are many, but recent activities include two GRAMMY nominations for the singles “Falling In Love Again” and “I Want To Love You”, multiple placements in popular TV-shows like ‘NCIS’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, and Lie To Me, producing tour introduction music for Van Halen, and collaborations with Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie), Rod Jackson (Slash’s Snakepit), Les Hemstock (chart topping trance DJ) and Greg Hampton (producer Alice Cooper, Lita Ford).
His 2007 debut album ‘Time Machine’ included the hits ‘Staying Alive Without You’, ‘Whatever Happened To You’ and ‘Time Machine’. The sound of this new album is certainly a contrast to the more rock sounding former productions, incorporating dance, techno and house beats, featuring renowned guest vocalists, such as Rod Jackson (Slash’s Snakepit) and session singer Muffy Charles.
BS In Da Club includes 23 tracks of different dance music flavors. The funky intro track ‘BS In Da Club’ features a fun nagging voice of a girl telling a story of her experiences while clubbing. ‘Conquer The World’ is a big sounding trance track, with a dreamy hook of conquering the world. World renowned rock guitar player Howie Simon is guest playing on ‘We Need To Regulate This Soul Music’, a “big” sounding track, mixing rock and dance flavors with a great guitar solo and the soulful voice of Rod Jackson (Slash’s Snakepit).
“I don’t have any tours or gigs planned, but several DJ:s, radio stations and music supervisors have contacted me and want to use the songs. If I see a big demand for live shows, I’ll see what I can do,” says BigSwede.
“‘BS In Da Club’ is a concept of what’s going on during any given night when you decide to hit the club sphere of Hollywood. You will have an awesome and great night, but there is also a good chance of running into some BS,” BigSwede says and follows up with a big laughter.
