Share Article

Davis’s Quick Clips deliver full-color, full-motion, narrated videos of how-to evaluate athletic and orthopedic injuries.

“Davis’s Quick Clips enables ATs to retrieve the information they need when and where they need it…on the field, in the gym, or even at the ice rink,” said Quincy McDonald, Senior Acquisitions Editor for F.A. Davis.

Muscle Tests and Special Tests launch the new Davis’s Quick Clips Series of mobile videos published by F.A. Davis Company. These full-color, full-motion, narrated video clips for Athletic Trainers demonstrate the proper techniques for the evaluation and initial management of specific injuries. They’re easily downloadable from their DVDs for viewing on iPods, iPhones, and other video-enabled mobile or media devices, MACs and PCs.

Muscle Tests features 104 videos illustrating anatomical landmarks, palpation, observation of the injured area, use of a goniometer at each joint, isolated isometric muscle testing, neurological assessment of the upper and lower quarter, and cranial nerve assessment. Special Tests presents 130 videos for each anatomical area and range of motion measurement. Both sets of videos offer complete coverage of every region of the body… the foot and ankle, knee, hip and pelvis, lumbar spine, cervical and thoracic spine, head and face, abdomen, shoulder, elbow, and wrist and hand.

“Davis’s Quick Clips enables Athletic Training students and professionals to retrieve the information they need when and where they need it…on the field, in the gym, or even at the ice rink,” said Quincy McDonald, Senior Acquisitions Editor for F.A. Davis Company. “Together, the two DVDs feature 234 head-to-toe, technique-oriented demonstrations of how to perform accurate evaluations of the injuries athletic trainers are called upon to evaluate. This is information critical to the health and well-being of the injured athlete. AT’s will have the how-to they need in the palm of their hand, and students will have a complete course of injury evaluation skills that demonstrate the proper techniques.”
