Arlington, VA (PRWEB) October 19, 2010
Employing a new crowd-sourcing strategy, the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) has announced a call for speaker and session ideas for The Great Ideas Summit 2011—the premiere mid-winter event in the direct response (DR) space. The event will be held February 28-March 2, 2011 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, La.
The deadline for submissions is October 29, 2010.
“We believe crowd-sourcing provides an extremely effective mechanism to gauge which topics are of the most interest to the direct response community,” says Dave Martin, ERA’s vice president of marketing and content. “In addition, it allows us to cast a wider net to bring new ideas and speakers to this education-intensive conference.”
The theme for this year’s conference is “Great Ideas for Driving Profitability in 2011.” Experts in DR marketing, online/mobile marketing, entrepreneurship and business operations are encouraged to submit descriptions of their ideas—approximately 100 words in length—for an hour-long presentation, panel discussion or case study to GreatIdeas(at)retailing(dot)org by October 29.
Sessions to be presented will be chosen by a vote of the ERA Education Committee, the ERA Staff and the DR community at large. For more information and complete guidelines regarding how to submit an idea, please visit http://www.ERAGreatIdeas.org/education.html or e-mail ERA director of content Tom Dellner at tdellner(at)retailing(dot)org.
