New Version Features Increased Functionality of LicenseOptimizer Module, New User Interface and Improved Configuration to Simplify Management of IT Resources

OpeniT®, Inc., global leaders in IT asset metering and optimization solutions, today announced the release of OpeniT Software Suite, Version 6.0, designed to simplify management of IT resources and improve user efficiency.

Version 6.0 offers increased functionality of the LicenseOptimizer™ module with single daemon (service) on all platforms. The new user interface features a Message Central designed to handle multiple messages generated from any Optimizer host within a single GUI application, eliminating multiple pop-ups. Message Central can receive detailed information from multiple GUI applications such as the status of licenses that require removal, were successfully removed, or failed to be removed after suspension. The new product’s features help harvest unused licenses for greater efficiency.

The latest version also features improved configuration to simplify how licenses and vendor information are listed, monitored and reported to help ensure compliance. Version 6.0 includes a new auto-collector for FlexNet license servers in the LicenseAnalyzer module, which automatically configures and maintains license data. The new Application Programming Interface (API) supports improved pay-per-use metering of licenses.
