Crescent Petroleum sign up for a minimum 2 year contract for the new web based eProcurement work flow management tool from Mikrofax eProcurement Solutions.

Crescent Petroleum today commenced live running with Mikrofax’s eProcurement web based platform. The system is being used to manage and improve the procurement of equipment and services, spares and parts for the oil companies drilling operations.

The main focus of the system is in the areas of initial electronic request entry, subsequent issuance of Request For Quotes (RFQ) to allow for competitive bidding, purchase order generation, goods receiving and tracking; this together with an audited electronic approval chain allows the various departments within the company to co-ordinate their buying through a central channel with user generated distribution of the requisitions to the buyer best suited for the purchasing task at hand.

Mikrofax’s Michael Petter said, “Before our new eProcurement system was being utilized by them, the client had a fully manual process - we wanted to show them that they could improve their existing process’s at an efficient price/performance point – we were so convinced of our solution that we offered them a 3 month trial which they took advantage of – and when the trial was over they fully committed to running the system in a live production environment for at least 2 years - The people at Crescent Petroleum have been highly professional and very easy to work with and that made a difference in having the system adopted quickly for the final rollout. Our team in California worked closely with their team in the UAE to fully understand their requirements – in the end, the client opted for a customized solution that was tailored to their express needs. Consequently I’m happy to report we have another happy client in the UAE region, which, as has already been reported, is an important area of growth and focus for us."

Mikrofax provided all systems infrastructure, implementation, configuration and setup guidance remotely from their new offices in California ; Mikrofax are also hosting the entire solution at their secure data center and are providing around the clock 365/24/7 technical support and services.
