TransEngen, Inc., an innovator in transaction processing technology for healthcare, announced today the appointment of industry veteran Mike Pileggi to Executive Vice President of Sales. Pileggi will be responsible for expanding and managing TransEngen’s sales distribution channels for its Revenue Maximizer product and for leading enterprise sales and account management efforts. This newly created role addresses the rapidly rising demand for TransEngen’s product and services.

Pileggi brings 20 years industry knowledge and expertise. Most recently he served as senior sales and channel development leader for mPay Gateway. Prior to mPay Gateway, Pileggi led and developed strategic channel programs and indirect sales partnerships at Misys Healthcare Systems.

"Mike's vast network of strategic partners coupled with his extensive experience in healthcare, channel development, software sales, and management will be invaluable to the company," said Gregory Morris, President & CEO for TransEngen. "TransEngen’s continued success and strategic growth depend on outstanding sales leadership and proven success. Pileggi’s track record in this business will be instrumental in developing and leading indirect channel sales initiatives for TransEngen."

TransEngen’s Revenue Maximizer is easy to use web-based software that helps health care providers manage the patient pay portion which represents as much as 30 percent of a medical practice’s total accounts receivable due to continued cost shifting to patients in the form of higher co-pays and deductibles. Revenue Maximizer enables providers to estimate patient responsibility and collect payment before the patient leaves the office, or make arrangements for payment after insurance has paid by obtaining authorization from the patient to charge his or her credit card or ACH funds from a checking account later. This functionality increases efficiency and reduces potential for patient bed debt, while at the same time reducing the need for post-service billing and collection.

To ensure Revenue Maximizer clients are installed and implemented successfully to derive the most value from the system, Michael Peluso has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Implementation Services for TransEngen. Peluso’s contributions to TransEngen over the last two years have included development of several strategic partnerships, and technologies that support interoperability between Revenue Maximizer and various practice management software applications to alleviate duplicate data entry and simplify payment posting processes. Both Pileggi and Peluso will lead the company in providing superior account management and consultative services to drive efficiencies for users of TransEngen products and services and ensure long-term client satisfaction.
