Insure Communication, a web-based CTRM system by Radar Medical Systems, is the first SaaS critical alert communication platform available for hospitals, radiology practices, labs and other medical testing facilities.

RADAR Medical Systems, LLC, a leading provider of CTRM software to the medical community, announces the introduction of the first low-cost web-based CTRM platform, Insure Communication.

“There are a number of very important reasons to use a specialized software platform to communicate critical and abnormal test results,” states Jack Cornell, CEO of RADAR Medical Systems, "first of which is to improve patient safety and care. Ensuring that ordering physicians receive critical test results is essential to providing the best possible outcome for the patient. An automated system that confirms receipt of the test results dramatically improves the communication process.”

Over the past few years, there has been a growing trend to implement CTRM systems in medical facilities throughout the country. With the overwhelming number of test results from labs, radiology and cardio-vascular, there needs to be a way to have the critical or unexpected test results stand out from the crowd; having one fall through the cracks can have devastating results.

“One key point we realized as we developed Insure Communication, is that it must easily fit within the clinician’s normal workflow,” continues Cornell. “Being medical professionals ourselves, we understand how important it is to have a technology solution to ensure successful communication of critical test results. So, we focused our efforts on simplifying the human component of the process to allow the technology do the bulk of the heavy work. That philosophy has worked out very well for those who use Insure Communication.”

With a few clicks of a mouse, Insure Communication will create and send alerts to ordering physicians through automated phone calls, secure certified emails and/ or secure text messages. The recipient is required to acknowledge hearing or reading the message, creating a closed-loop communication process. And, since it is leading edge, web-based technology, there is no integration needed with other medical systems, saving time, capital investment and a lot of IT headaches.

“Our goal with Insure Communication was to provide a CTRM solution that could be used effectively by a medical facility of any size,” concludes Cornell, “I think we’ve done that.”
