Thru LLC, provider of the leading globally networked Managed File Transfer as a Service (MFTaaS) platform, today announced record revenue growth for third quarter 2010 on the back of an increasing demand for the company's hosted MFT solution, global network and rigid Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Thru's net income increased over the last 12 months by 100 percent. Quarterly revenue increased 26 percent over the same quarter of 2009 with gross margins over 75 percent. Thru attributes the increases substantially to winning new business as enterprises strategically move to cloud service to streamline operations and increase efficiencies.
"Global enterprises are clearly accelerating their adoption of cloud-based MFT services as they look for a cost-effective, secure and efficient means to exchange and centrally manage very large files," said Lee Harrison, CEO of Thru. "Other companies have MFT solutions, but unlike Thru MFTaaS, they were not developed initially to be deployed in the cloud. No competitor has our global network backed by our best-in-class SLAs, and so we'll continue to win customers and to gain the interest of global enterprises needing to address B2B MFT issues."
Thru customers benefit from a direct connection to the NTT Communications Backbone Network, which delivers vast data capacity between the U.S., Europe and the Pan-Pacific region. Thru secure SAS70 Type II data centers are located in the United States, China, Europe and Australia. With the Thru network's high transfer speeds and rigid SLAs, IT personnel can streamline processes, while end users increase workflow productivity. At the core of Thru technology is a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with a Web services API, allowing for seamless integration between the Thru MFTaaS platform and external applications. Thru publishes its API online.
The company is currently expanding its staff, most recently adding a new vice president of marketing in order to support continued growth across global markets and to support extension of service offerings. New versions of the Thru platform and support for additional external applications ship throughout Q4 2010 and Q1 2011.
