Steinauer Bank announces a partnership with Identity Theft 911 to offer customers identity management services, both identity protection and identity theft resolution. New program provides LifeStages Identity Protection Services to account holders and their families at no charge, including 24/7 dedicated access to a fraud specialist for personalized, one-to-one assistance with proactive and recovery identity protection services.

The Bank of Steinauer announces a partnership with Identity Theft 911, a leading provider of identity management and data breach services. The program offers Identity Theft 911’s LifeStages™ Identity Protection Services for the protection of customers through the times in life when they are most vulnerable to identity theft.

Identity theft is on the rise with 11.1 million victims last year according to the Javelin Identity Fraud Survey, an increase of nearly 12 percent. Identity theft is the crime most commonly referred to the Federal Trade Commission.

“We’re providing customers and their household family members with America’s premier identity theft services, including education, proactive resources and one-on-one expert assistance from a fraud specialist in the event of an identity theft,” said Bank of Steinauer President Suzanne Borcher. “We’re offering proactive identity management services, rather than simply waiting until after customers are victimized to provide assistance.

Identity Theft 911 fraud specialists provide white-glove service to victims from the initial call for help until the case is resolved. Their expertise covers a range of issues, from true identity theft to account takeovers and protective measures during every stage of a person’s life. They work one-on-one with victims and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week until resolution is complete.

“Whether filing tax returns, looking for a job, using social networking sites or even on vacation, it’s important for people to proactively manage and safeguard their identities at all times,” said Matt Cullina, CEO of Identity Theft 911. “People can be vulnerable to identity theft anywhere, so this kind of protection from Bank of Steinauer is invaluable to its customers.”

About Bank of Steinauer
Joseph Steinauer was the first postmaster of Steinauer, Nebraska, and conducted the first banking business, along with his post office duties, in the small wooden structure that still serves the community as a post office. Due to growing business, Joseph moved the bank into the first two-story building erected in the village in November 1894.

The Bank has continued to grow in size, as well as services provided, while never losing that local hometown touch. The Bank of Steinauer still believes, as Joseph Steinauer did when he began the bank in 1898 that providing quality service and treating the customer honestly is what has keep the business preparing for over 100 years.
