In La Jolla, CA, Dr. Alison Gordon has become the newest member of the Gordon & Weiss Vision Institute. She specializes in a range of procedures, including refractive surgery, cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, and glaucoma management, as well as an array of general ophthalmologic procedures. Dr. Gordon joins her father, Dr. Michael Gordon, who has performed thousands of ophthalmologic procedures, including the first all-laser high-definition Wavefront-guided laser procedure in the world in 2003. As one of the most experienced surgeons and well-known ophthalmologists in La Jolla and the surrounding San Diego area, Dr. Gordon says he is looking forward to working with his daughter, and is proud to welcome her to the Gordon & Weiss Vision Institute.
As she joins a team of committed ophthalmologists, and refractive and cataract surgeons in La Jolla, Dr. Alison Gordon says she is looking forward to continuing her career in vision correction and eye care at the Gordon & Weiss Vision Institute. After graduating from Princeton University magna cum laude with a degree in Anthropology, she earned her medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and completed her ophthalmology residency at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
Dr. Gordon is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She also volunteers her time and expertise as a vision specialist by supporting Unite for Sight, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving eye health and eliminating preventable blindness worldwide.
