Extra Parent Eyes, LLC announces the launch of its company today in Plano, TX. The company offers a unique service for parents who want to keep up with their kids on Facebook without spending a lot of time on Facebook. “Like a lot of start-ups, our company was founded when we were unable to find a solution we were in need of ourselves,” said the company’s founder, Kandi Sigona. “There were several companies offering a variety of online monitoring solutions, but most required parents to spend a lot of time logged on to their own interactive websites, and we wanted to create something much simpler and less time consuming for parents,” said Sigona.

The company offers a subscription-based service that provides parents with an easy to read monthly parental report that includes a summary of their kid’s Facebook activity. “Out-of-sight, out-of mind is so often true - especially on social networks. And this is our company’s mission – help parents stay in-sight and in-mind when their kids are on Facebook. It might sound simple on its surface, but for all of those parents struggling with this issue right now, we know it's not so simple. We think our service can really help,” stated Sigona.

Although the company’s service has been created especially for parents, kids might actually prefer the company's approach, too. Sigona's nephew was actually the first to make this point, saying "now, my mom and I don't have to be friends on Facebook, which is just awkward sometimes.” Sigona pointed out that she has been surprised at how many parents have commented on this benefit, also. “I think it's another sign of how Facebook has evolved to become a major social tool for parents, too,” she added.

The company’s website and service plans have been designed especially for today’s time-strapped parents. The entire sign-up process takes about 5 minutes and unlike other monitoring services, Extra Parent Eyes doesn’t require parents to continually return and login to its website to manage their account.
