Governor , Bob Ehrlich visited Maryland Thermoform Corporation, a local manufacturer, in an ongoing effort to bring awareness to the value of keeping businesses in Maryland.

Maryland Thermoform CEO Scott Macdonald welcomed Ehrlich and also spoke regarding the company’s successes as well as challenges.

Former Governor, Bob Ehrlich visited a local Baltimore business in an ongoing effort to bring awareness to the value of keeping businesses in Maryland. Maryland Thermoform Corporation in South Baltimore was the site of this, the second visit for Ehrlich who had on previous visit toured the facility. Ehrlich spoke to employees, the press and local delegates and fielded questions from the media.

Maryland Thermoform CEO Scott Macdonald welcomed Ehrlich and also spoke regarding the company’s successes as well as challenges.

In his address Ehrlich sited from a Maryland Chamber of Commerce study that Maryland is becoming less and less competitive with local states for old and new business due to higher taxes. Ehrlich’s bid for Governor is heavily vested on making Maryland a business friendly state. The thermoforming business is just one of the many manufacturing companies that could be adversely affected by tax laws in Maryland. Governor Ehrlich’s campaign, at least in part, is geared toward keeping taxes low for Maryland based business in an effort to keep the businesses in state.
