ApartmentRatings.com, the leading website for user reviews of apartments around the United States, today released comprehensive 2010 data resulting from an analysis of the site’s 1 million reviews. ApartmentRatings hit the 1 million-review mark this month.
Among the highlights from the data:
- Alaska, Vermont and Arkansas had the most satisfied renters state-wide overall, while Wyoming, Maine and North Dakota ended up at the bottom of the list.
- Corpus Christi (Texas), Cleveland and Milwaukee were deemed the safest cities in which to rent, while Memphis (Tenn.), Virginia Beach (Va.) and North Las Vegas (Nev.) were seen as the least safe.
- Henderson (Nev.), Chula Vista (Calif.) and Chesapeake (Va.) were reported to be the most pet friendly, with Garland (Texas), Fresno (Calif.) and Lincoln (Neb.) coming in as least pet-friendly.
This data and more, including best and worst cities for parking, is compiled into an infographic which can be found at http://ohmyapt.apartmentratings.com/state-of-apartment-living-2010.html. The graphic also breaks out which cities had the most and least satisfied renters (in addition to the states mentioned above).
ApartmentRatings has more than one million user-submitted ratings for over 50,000 apartment properties in more than 4000 cities and towns across the United States. Scores were tabulated from these ratings.
In addition to overall satisfaction, users on ApartmentRatings can rate their rental experience on a number of specific factors including noise, safety and maintenance, as well as leave comments about their own experience living in the buildings.
