Author tells of his fascinating encounters with remarkable legends

He has lived An Extraordinary Life because of the many beautiful, wonderful, and talented world personalities he met. As he debuts into the publishing world, musician—now author—Richard Kendall shares his many personal encounters with some of the great international celebrities with the release of his new book, a memoir not of him but of these notable legends.

Some of these meetings were planned while others were totally unexpected encounters. But each singular meeting was a special experience, a treasured memory, and a unique moment in time for the author. With his highly retentive memory and personal diary-journal which he started at age fourteen until now; his extensive library of concert, recital, and opera programs which he began at age ten; and his “political scrapbook” featuring the leaders from 1945, President Roosevelt, to present, President Obama, the author is able to present factual descriptions of these memorable meetings.

For those who grew up in the ‘50s, this book will provide a nostalgic look back at happier, more secure, and less stressful times. For younger readers, it will present a glimpse of an entirely different era. As the author describes his encounters with Marian Anderson, The Beatles, Indira Gandhi, Judy Garland, John F. Kennedy, Paul Newman, Eleanor Roosevelt, Roger Wagner, Lily Pons, and more, he is not only sharing his personal sentiments, but also of the real spirits of these amazing individuals. The book contains over 50 photographs, some never seen before.
