The Institute for Health Technology Transformation announced today the speakers for their panel session entitled “Redefining Telehealth for the 21st Century Healthcare System” at the Institute’s annual Fall Health IT Summit taking place November 3-4, 2010 in Beverly Hills.

The panel will be moderated by Suniti Ponshke, Partner, Accenture, and speaking will be Lyle Berkowitz, MD, Medical Director of Clinical Information Systems, Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group; Jonathan Mack, Post Doctoral Fellow, West Wireless Health Institute; Arlen Meyers, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Colorado Telehealth Network; Colin Buechler, SVP, Sales & Marketing, LifeSize – a Division of Logitech; and Michal Raz, VP of Vertical Applications, Vidyo.

The panelists will discuss how telehealth is changing delivery of care for both the provider and patient, as well as what initiatives you should plan to implement moving forward. “We don’t have a shortage of primary care physicians as much as we have a shortage of using them efficiently,” said Dr. Lyle Berkowitz, MD, Medical Director of Clinical Information Systems, Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group. “Understanding Telehealth is a critical step in that direction.”
