MET Laboratories, the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) in the United States, is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Korea Testing Certification (KTC) of Korea. The MoU allows for the mutual recognition of CB & TCB test certificates.
Both MET Laboratories and KTC are members of the IECEE CB Scheme, and will benefit from the mutual recognition of CB reports issued by either party. North American customers will gain access to the Korea market by obtaining the KC Mark through the CB services of MET Labs. Korean manufacturers will gain access to North American telecom and EMC TCB certificates according to FCC regulations, and product safety certification according to NRTL regulations.
KTC is accredited by the Korean government to help companies resolve technical issues so as to export their products to overseas markets, including North America. KTC testing supports KC certification, and the KC mark, as required by the Korea Certification Scheme to assure the safety of electric & electronic products sold in Korea.
Partnering with MET Laboratories, a leader in electrical product safety for more than 50 years, will expand the scope of KTC’s electrical testing and certification services. Key industry sectors benefiting from this partnership include IT and telecommunications.
