Unleaded Software, Inc., known as the Unleaded Group (http://www.unleadedgroup.com) released its new website. The eponymous site, http://www.magento.net, details the features and benefits of the internet’s newest and most reliable ecommerce shopping cart.
Used by boutique businesses to giants in industry, Magento comes in three iterations: the Community Edition (the open source version), Magento Enterprise ($13,000 a year license), and the newest release Magento Professional ($3,500 a year license). Unleaded is one of the rare Magento Enterprise Partners; only a handful of such development companies exist. Earlier this month, Magento released a Mobile Version.
Three of Unleaded’s lead developers plus Unleaded President Jarod Clark fought all odds to make their way to the Magento Paradise held in Spain in May where they learned even more about the program and how it works. While a total of 180 developers were expected to attend the conference, only 11 made it because of Iceland’s volcanic disruptions to air travel. Unleaded’s team made up four of the 11 in attendance.
“The launch of the new website marks a full-on effort to publicize Unleaded’s expertise in Magento-built sites,” said Clark of his company that employs 12 developers and programmers plus a sales team, content writers, graphic designers and video producers. The company has been building websites since 1996, with emphasis on ecommerce website construction over the last five-plus years. “Ecommerce is the dominant need in website construction today as online sales replace brick-and-mortar operations.”
Clark pointed out that until the release of Magento’s ecommerce platform three years ago, online retailers had to either invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into building proprietary shopping carts or piece together less robust programs in order to conduct online sales. “That usually netted a cumbersome operation that required that humans to do the heavy lifting, manually entering and processing orders, both at the warehouse and shipping level and as well in the financial center of any company. Magento has made those processes streamlined.”
Unleaded has built Magento websites for local Colorado companies like http://www.toolking.com and http://www.airwalk.com and also builds websites for U.S. national enterprise as well as global concerns. The privately-held company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado’s Ballpark District near Coors Field, the epicenter of creative firms in the Mile High City, called that for its elevation of one mile high or 5280 feet.
